Team Sky got off to a dream start at the Tour of Qatar, winning the 8.2km team time trial around the West Bay Lagoon by eight seconds.
Here we take a look at how that result was received in the world's media, and also highlight a few other interesting articles that have appeared over the last seven days.
All the British broadsheets picked up on the victory with The Independent singling out a "huge contribution" from Bradley Wiggins. They praised the way he had "kept up an unremitting pace" over the wind-blasted course and led the team home over the final kilometre.
The Daily Mail were impressed by a "storming ride" from Edvald Boasson Hagen, which earned him the leader's golden jersey, while The Guardian noted the team had ridden "in perfect formation" as they edged ahead of their rivals.
The Gulf Times led their online sports section with a race report and commented on how Team Sky has "stolen the show" with their display, and fellow English language daily The Peninsula also praised a "near-perfect performance" and felt the team's preparation had proved key to their triumph.
Away from the action, our very own Michael Barry has written a fascinating diary piece on VeloNews detailing his pre-season preparations and Team Sky debut at the GP Cycliste la Marseillaise.
Finally, Cycling Weekly caught up with Marcus Ljungqvist to see how he got to grips with his new role as sports director at the Etoile de Bessèges.
