Team Sky are delighted to have been handed the keys to two bespoke editions of the Jaguar XF Sportbrake in preparation for the Tour de France.
The XF Sportbrakes will play a crucial role as the team’s race support cars during the next three weeks and both vehicles have been developed and adapted in close consultation between Jaguar and Team Sky.
With customised roof racks, race radios, and TVs to follow the action at the front of the peloton, the XF Sportbrakes are high performance, luxury vehicles that also meet the demands of supporting a world-class cycling team on the road.
Sports Director Servais Knaven put both vehicles through their paces at a recent training day [click here for video], and said: “From the driver’s seat I have to make all the decisions and fast. I need a car that can drive in all circumstances and I’m really excited about the new XF Sportbrake. I get a good feeling when I drive it. It’s versatile loaded with nine bikes, there is still space and it looks great. I’d quite like to take it home.”
