We’re delighted to announce that 21 Days to Glory – the official Team Sky book telling the inside story of our triumphant 2012 Tour de France campaign – is set for release on Thursday 8 November.
The publication (which will be available initially in hardback and eBook formats) features stunning photography from embedded photographer Scott Mitchell and exclusive team interviews.
This is the official, illustrated, inside story of how the Tour was won.
Mitchell takes you beyond the peloton and into our bus, capturing the riders’ pre- and post-stage rituals, mealtimes, team-talks and much, much more.
When Team Sky launched in 2010, our aim was to win the Tour de France within five years. We achieved that goal with two years to spare when Bradley Wiggins became the first British winner in the race’s history, with team-mate Chris Froome finishing second and Mark Cavendish rounding off the race with a fourth successive stage victory along the Champs Elysees.
Looking at the inner workings of Team Sky, and the lengths that Wiggins, Cavendish, Froome and the whole team went to, 21 Days to Glory is a unique insight into one of British sport’s greatest success stories.
Mitchell’s stunning and intimate photography became a highlight of the Tour’s coverage this year - offering a unique insight into the inner workings of a Tour-winning team – and Sarah Edworthy’s in-depth interviews recount a collection of vivid memoirs from the road.
