Following the Valencia training camp, Edvald Boasson Hagen and team doctor David Hulse travelled to Prologo's factory in Italy to check out the science that goes in to producing Team Sky's saddles.
The duo were shown every aspect of production in the Cambiago-based factory near Milan and Edvald was soon being measured up for his own bespoke seat.
Using specialised pressure sensors, the Prologo technicians were able to measure how Edvald's pelvis was supported on the saddle, and how different shapes of saddle altered comfort and stability.
During the session, they also used a prototype fitting tool which Prologo, the team's official saddle supplier, are developing to ensure optimal saddle positioning.
Edvald will make his debut in Team Sky colours at the Tour of Qatar on February 7.
