Team Sky ended their stay in Australia the same way they had started it - with a magnificent one-two victory on the final stage of the Tour Down Under.

The world's media has been following the team's emergence with great interest and here we take a look at how that triumphant finale went down with cycling experts around the globe.

Although André Greipel's tour-winning exploits stole most of the headlines, The Australian was keen to highlight the emergence of Chris Sutton as Team Sky led him to "by far the biggest victory" of his burgeoning cycling career.

The Sydney Morning Herald centred their report on hometown-hero CJ's "brilliant" win, and also the close escape he had after the victory when a television motorbike crashed into his rear-wheel, breaking it in two.

Back in Britain, The Independent hailed a "hugely successful first week in the international peloton" and spoke to team principal Dave Brailsford about how he felt the performance had laid a "solid foundation for the rest of the year."

Cyclingnews.com were also quick to praise the way Team Sky executed a "perfect lead-out in the final two kilometres" with a train that "dominated the finale" in Adelaide.

In Europe, the reports were equally positive. Spanish sports paper Marca honoured an "almighty" Team Sky effort to break the dominance of HTC-Columbia, while the Italian Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted the "excellent" work of Davide Viganò.

The pick of the features over the past week is undoubtedly Cycle Sport magazine's 20-page feast of Team Sky-related goodness. Not only has TeamSky.com been voted the top team website (thanks for that guys!), there are also in-depth articles into the rise of the team and the state-of-the-art equipment which will be aiding the riders over the coming season.

Finally, InDaily, Adelaide's online daily newspaper, have posted a really interesting video taking a closer look at Greg Henderson's Pinarello bike.
