Just a day after Team Sky was officially launched, Chris Sutton gave them a further boost by winning the Jayco Bay Cycling Classic in Melbourne.

Riding for the Skilled/Lowe Farms team , CJ finished the final stage in third place to take the overall title by two points from his Team Sky teammate Greg Henderson (Mazda).

"It's great to get the win, I'm over the moon," said a delighted Sutton afterwards.

And it sets up Sutton and Henderson perfectly for their debut race in Team Sky colours as they are both part of the seven-man squad for the Tour Down Under.

That starts on January 17 with a city-centre criterium in Adelaide, with the race proper getting under way two days later.
