Chris Froome and Michael Barry both finished in the top 15 on the second and final stage - and overall - at the Tour du Haut Var in Provence.
The stage was won by France's Christophe Le Mevel (Française Des Jeux) and his victory was enough to clinch the overall title as Rinaldo Nocentini, who had been in the yellow jersey after Saturday's opening stage, finished just over three minutes adrift in 46th place on Sunday.
The route covered 200.7km from Draguignan to Montrauoux and Le Mevel made his move under the Flamme Rouge which marked the final kilometre of the race.
As on the previous day the stage finished with a tough climb, with gradients hitting 22% in places, and Le Mevel just held off a desperate late lunge from earlier breakaway rider Pierrick Fedrigo (BBox Bouygues Telecom) and Bert de Waele (Landbouwkrediet) to land the spoils.
There was another hugely encouraging display from Team Sky who were again prominent in the main peloton, with Froome (eighth) and Barry (14th) right in the mix at the finish.
Froome was just 16 seconds behind and also took ninth place on the GC while Barry crossed the line 19 seconds after Le Mevel and finished 15th overall.
