Team Sky have announced their squads for the first half of March.
The second and third WorldTour races of the year kick off within a few days of each other this spring with Paris-Nice taking place on March 4-11 while Tirreno-Adriatico spans March 7-13.
Fresh from his race-winning performance at the Volta ao Algarve, Richie Porte returns to action at Paris-Nice alongside final stage winner and third placed overall Bradley Wiggins. The prestigious eight-day test also sees Geraint Thomas return to the road following his exploits on the track in London.
Tirreno-Adriatico sees Mark Cavendish continue his campaign in the world champion’s jersey after victory in Kuurne, and he is backed up in Italy by a strong squad including Edvald Boasson Hagen, back after illness, and GC contender Thomas Löfkvist.
Also taking place in the coming days is the Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen (or Three Days of West Flanders) from March 2-4.
That starts with an individual time trial and current British TT champion Alex Dowsett and former world TT champion Michael Rogers are both part of Team Sky's eight-man squad.
The full line-up for the first monument of the season at Milano-Sanremo (March 17) will be announced in conjunction with the race organisers on March 9 and we'll also publish the teams for the month's remaining races at that point.
