Martinelli will line up for his first race at the Vuelta a Burgos, which runs between August 1-5, and full details of his arrival can be found here.

Rigoberto Urán and Sergio Henao will join Martinelli in Burgos and the Colombian duo look set to lead the team’s general classification charge. They will be ably supported by Juan Antonio Flecha, Ian Stannard, Xabier Zandio and Danny Pate, with Ben Swift looking to make his mark in the bunch sprints.

No sooner has Burgos finished than the Eneco Tour commences the very next day and British trio Alex Dowsett, Jeremy Hunt and Luke Rowe all be in action there. Christian Knees is making his first appearance since the Tour de France, with Davide Appollonio and Chris Sutton leading the team’s sprint charge. Thomas Löfkvist and Salvatore Puccio complete a solid eight-man squad in Benelux.

Tuesday 14 August sees the 32nd running of the Clasica San Sebastian and Knees will be joined in that team by fellow Tour de France riders Richie Porte and Michael Rogers. Lars-Petter Nordhaug also makes his first appearance of the month and also in the line-up are Appollonio, Henao and local boy Zandio. Urán rounds off the squad on the Spanish coast and he will be looking to improve upon his ninth-placed finish of 2011.
