In an historic year for British cycling, we want the fans to tell the story of the Tour of Britain from the roadside.
We have teamed up with Team Sky partner Map My Tracks to create a live interactive mapping system which allows fans to share their race experiences via Twitter.
Wherever you are on the Tour of Britain route, a simple tweet will allow you to put your own marker down on our brand-new interactive map.
To do so, all you need to remember are two simple things:
1) You must mention Team Sky in your tweet (Team Sky or @TeamSky)
2) You must turn on the geo-location option for your tweets (the location icon which appears next to the @, #, and camera icons under the area where you write your text)
We want to hear from you. Tweet us with information on the race. Be it pictures of yourselves, the riders or the team. What is the gap to the break? What are the conditions like? Where are you and who are you with? Who has the best banner? Or anything else in and around the race that you’d like to share. The more the merrier.
All this information will be populated live on our interactive stage map for the world to see, and should combine to build up a fun and informative picture of the race.
So why not be a part of history...
