Team Sky kicked off the 2018 Hammer Series with fourth place on the opening day at Hammer Stavanger.

The Hammer Climb kicked things off with Gianni Moscon and Michal Golas combining to rack up a combined total of 540 points across the 10 lap, 79.2-kilometre test.
 
With points up for grabs at the finish of all 10 laps, the duo helped position the team in third place ahead of the finale, but with double points up for grabs on the final circuit Team Sky were edged into fourth.
 
Mitchelton-Scott showed strength in depth to claim the win on the day ahead of Team Sunweb.
 
The action continues tomorrow in Norway with the flat course Hammer Sprint.
