Mikel Landa, Diego Rosa and Wout Poels all finished in the lead mix as stage two of the Ruta del Sol produced an exciting summit finish.

Team Sky seized control of the race on the approach to the Mancha Real climb, and for the second day running it was Landa who launched an attack.
The Basque star opened out a strong gap inside 4km to go, but was gradually clawed back by a select lead group. When the catch was made Alberto Contador (Trek-Segafredo) launched what looked like the winning move.
The Spaniard didn't count on Thibaut Pinot however, with the FDJ rider overhauling his rival inside the final uphill kilometre to claim an impressive win on the Alto Pena del Aguila.
Landa dug deep to limit his losses, and was joined by Rosa and Poels, crossing the line in a row, nine and 13 seconds respectively behind Pinot.
Contador moved into the race lead, with Team Sky holding fifth (Rosa, +7"), sixth (Poels, +11") and seventh (Landa +12") overall.
In the closing stages Christian Knees, David Lopez and Vasil Kiryienka did an impressive job to up the pace and line out the bunch on the way to the finale. After taking up the charge, Mikel Nieve also remained in a prominent position, crossing the line in 14th on the day.
